I've not yet washed any of it, but it's all real fabrics. And their answers on sizing turned out to be correct anyway! I exchanged emails w/ Doki Doki about sizing. I'm not very concerned - I can rip the seams to remove the chainmail if it wears out, and happily wear the tunic without. However, as others have mentioned, I suspect this will be the first to wear out. It gives a good visual texture, while being lightweight. The chainmail looks great - it's the same kind of weave material used on plastic weave outdoor chairs. I wish the zipper was longer on both shirt & pants to make easier.
Although you can operate yourself, it's best to have someone help you put this on/take off. The belt buckles are a bit flimsy, but look fine. The leather pouch and straps are quite nice faux leather.
The undershirt & pants both stretch, but the tunic doesn't - another reason I decided against having it tailored slimmer.īecause there's so much layering I expect to only wear this in cooler months. The materials are lightweight, but thick - except the pants, which are fairly thin cotton/linen. The stitching details are real - not just "iron-on" adhesives. The gloves were way too small - I wear size L American gloves.Ħ/5 stars! I ordered another Link cosplay from simcosplay and this one is way better. I considered having the green shirt width tailored, but w/ the belt & kit I feel it's fine. Pants are a bit tight in the crotch, but well-fit. It fits well enough: the shirt items are a bit wide, but sleeve lengths are correct. I measured and compared to their sizing chart and went w/ the XL. I'm 155lb, 6ft tall, wear American size M shirt & 31 waist pants. I ordered my Link cosplay mid-June 2023 and received it within only a few weeks.
